Wood Hardware Store Sign
c. 1928-30s
An extremely rare sign by Wright McGill.  Relief carved of one piece of wood; this sign most likely represented the transition of Wright McGill from flies as their primary focus to the nationally recognized vendor of Wright McGill (i.e. Eagle Claw) hooks.
Given the lettering and style and introduction period of Wright McGill hooks, this piece most likely dates to around the 1928 to 1930 era.

Eagle Claw Display
c. 1930
Small, early display by Wright McGill.  Only known design by Wright McGill with this much relief around the eagle or display edge.  Almost unheard of that any display of this design would not have damage to the edges.  This is an extremely rare counter display by Wright McGill.   Only second one known.

Same as the catalog cover for this period, this display employs the "self-framing" concept when the "frame" is part of the lithography.  Promoting the Miracle Minnow, though graphically the same as the large example above, this display is small making it quite unique.

Glass Rod Counter Display
c. 1955
Large and very colorful counter display from Wright McGill promoting their fiberglass rods.  The use of the rod to create the visual around the upleaping bass adds to the uniqueness of the overall display.
Eagle Claw Hooks Counter Display
c. 1954
Large and very colorful counter display from Wright McGill promoting their Eagle Claw Hooks.  Like the rod display above, the designer used the arch of the hook to frame the trout and overall marketing window for their product.  Great visuals with the fisherman in the background.
